AMS has specialized in accounts receivable management
for health care providers for more than 20 years. AMS has been helping
hospitals, group practices, nursing homes, and individual physicians
improve their cash flow, by improving the success of the accounts receivable
function.

1. Accounts Receivable
Support Services
Trained and experienced ARMS consultant support the management
of your accounts receivable billing and collection functions in-house
for a defined period of time. Our consultants have a broad knowledge
of third-party billing and have established working relationships with
third parties to expedite claims processing and resolve disputed claims.
Our clients often choose this on-site service to improve cash flow from
backlogged receivables, while allowing in-house staff to concentrate
on current business.

2. Interim Management of
Patient Accounting
An experienced Certified Patient Accounts Manager provides on-site management
of the patient accounting department during the search for a permanent
director or during along term absence.

3. Medicare Billing Support
ARMS has developed industry-recognized expertise in Medicare receivables.
Our consultants resolve accounts and maintain billing in this complex
receivable area via the terminal network and PTN systems.

4. Charge
Master Reviews
AMS provides services in the area of HCPCS and CPT coding. This involves
a comprehensive analysis of the charge structure in order to ensure
that accurate codes are affixed to revenues to generate proper third-party
reimbursement to the health care provider.

5. Training and Educational
Seminars
ARMS provides time tested training that has proven to increase on-the-job
effectiveness and improve the skills of client personnel. We work with
the client in developing the content of educational seminars to be held
at the client facility, or other appropriate setting. All levels of ARMS
supervisory and management staff have participated in these seminars.
AMS representatives are active speakers and instructors on many facets

6. Patient
Accounting Operational Reviews
An experienced certified patient account manager performs an operational
review of your patient accounts area. Our experienced consultant develops
are part of findings and recommendations, and a plan of implementation
based on a thorough review of existing policies and procedures, reporting
mechanisms and systems, and interviewing key personnel in all are as
affecting the billing function.

7. Special Projects
At the client's request, AMS will design and implement special projects
related to the accounts receivable function such as:

- Credit Balance Resolutions
AMS also works with clients' information systems
vendors to configure appropriate patient accounting modules, reports
and systems during the computer conversion process.

EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE
The ARMS consulting staff is made up of health care receivables professionals.
They include former patient account managers and Medicare and Blue Cross
employees skilled in claim resolution and developing training programs.
All staff members are continuously trained and updated as regulations
and procedures change. Many of our principals speak or write regularly
on industry topics and constantly monitor issues and industry developments
affecting health care reimbursement policies.
