SENIOR HEALTHCARE
OPERATIONS CONSULTANT

The Systems Engineering Group is looking to hire a senior healthcare operations consultant who possesses strong mathematical skills as well as outstanding analytical and critical thinking abilities. In-depth knowledge of staffing issues, scheduling systems, work/patient flow and work redesign required. Previous consulting experience a plus.

The ideal candidate will have a background as a nurse, management engineer, or operations manager with an advanced degree, MBA preferred. Candidates must have a minimum of three to five years experience in a hospital or health system environment. Must be willing to travel.

SENIOR CONSULTANT

The Health Information Management (HIM) Group is seeking a senior consultant to provide HIM consulting services to clients including operational analysis, service reengineering and interim department management. Interim management includes directing the daily operations of all HIM services such as record retrieval, processing and completion, medical transcription, coding, abstracting, compliance auditing, release of information and third party audits, and ongoing evaluation of in-service education of staff.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Health Information Management and either a RHIT or RHIA. Candidates must have a minimum of three to five years managerial experience in a hospital or health system environment, and in-depth knowledge of Joint Commission and other accrediting or licensing standards. Must be willing to travel.

NURSE CONSULTANT

The Systems Engineering Group is looking for a nurse consultant with an in-depth knowledge of staffing issues, scheduling systems, work/patient flow and work redesign who possesses strong math skills and outstanding analytical and critical thinking abilities. Will also participate in company in-services, seminars, and other scholarly and professional society activities. Previous consulting experience a plus.

The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse with a minimum of five years clinical experience including clinical and management responsibilities, and possessing an advanced degree (MBA preferred). Previous consulting experience a plus.  Must be willing to travel.

HEALTH INFORMATION
PROFESSIONAL CODER

The HIM/Compliance division is looking for an experienced health information coding specialist to provide on-site coding support and compliance auditing to our clients throughout New England and the East Coast. Minimum of two years inpatient and outpatient coding experience in an acute care hospital environment is required. CCS, RHIT or RHIA preferred. Knowledge of all reimbursement methodologies, including PPS and APC's. MEDITECH and 3M experience preferred. Some travel required.

 

 

MEDICAL BILLING REPRESENTATIVE

The Accounts Receivable Management Service (ARMS) division is seeking a flexible, detail-oriented individual to provide on-site accounts receivable support services to our healthcare clients working with a variety of automated systems and processing claims via electronic and paper methods.  The representative will review and analyze accounts receivable for billing errors and assist clients in resolving accounts outstanding and provide recommendations to improve client's cash flow.

Under the general direction of the manager the representative will perform a variety of billing and clerical duties to support and assist client hospitals including the billing, re-billing and follow-up on third party billing to secure payment within a reasonable time frame. Ability to work in a changing environment, adapt to different computer systems, and effectively interact with client's staff required. Will be responsible for billing appropriate third party carriers as required, including manual preparation of third party claim forms, coding and billing via electronic media claims (EMC). Will be expected to contact patients, guarantors, other hospital departments and any outside agencies to obtain any additional information which will expedite payment of claims. Will execute all data entry pertinent to resolving accounts, including contractual allowances. Will respond to written correspondence and telephone inquires on a timely basis. Will handle all follow-up pertaining to third party billings, including processing of rejections, adjustments, revisions and rebilling. Will identify, resolve and report all incorrect billing procedures to management and client liaison. Maintain strict confidence of all patient related information to which exposed both internally and externally and perform other duties as directed and assigned.

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years related experience including knowledge of third-party benefits, medical terminology, and coding. Travel is required.

 

HEALTHCARE SYSTEMS ANALYST

Due to recent growth, the Systems Engineering Group is seeking to hire a Healthcare Systems Analyst.  Under the general direction of the Senior Vice President, responsibilities include specialized healthcare administrative and consulting duties, quantitative and qualitative analysis of data and the delivery of healthcare consulting services to clients as assigned.  Will research and investigate new methodologies and remain current with literature related to the healthcare field.

Qualifications: 0-3 years of Healthcare experience.  The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelors degree in Healthcare, Management, Engineering or other research based or analytical discipline.  A Masters degree is a plus.  Computer skills and knowledge of basic software (MS Office, Visio) are essential.  Must possess excellent writing, organizational, time-management communication, analytical and problem solving skills.  Must be able to work both independently and in a team.  Travel may be required.
