TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
With over 26 years of experience as a consultant with AMS, Ms. Watson Dillon possesses extensive hands on clinical and healthcare experience. Her primary areas of concentration include the operating room, obstetrics, PACU, intensive care unit, emergency room and ambulatory care. Her areas of expertise include patient care redesign, surgical suite evaluation, emergency room analysis, senior nursing leadership mentoring, and patient flow/bed management.

Ms. Watson Dillon partners with client senior leadership to challenge how and why processes are developed and executed. She serves as a facilitator, working with teams or one-on-one with nurse managers in a mentor relationship. Ms. Watson Dillon assists with productivity, costing and information systems issues, identifying and applying benchmark standards, developing project implementation plans, and monitoring results.  The knowledge transfer of her hands-on clinical and extensive consulting experiences has been effective in assisting clients implement dramatic change.

Most recently, Ms. Watson Dillon was requested to provide her consulting expertise and extensive data analysis expertise to the Massachusetts Organization of Nurse Executives (MONE) and Massachusetts Hospital Association (MHA) state wide Patients First initiative. Utilizing her healthcare knowledge and insight, Ms. Watson Dillon has produced the data collection tools, staffing templates, and output being used by all hospital participants of this initiative.

Currently, she serves as senior vice president overseeing AMS' research and development applications and practices. She is responsible for maintaining AMS' methodologies and standards and ensuring that they are consistent and in step with industry developments. She oversees the maintenance of AMS' benchmark database as well as best practices standards, departmental questionnaires, definition sheets, and data input sheets. In this role, she is also responsible for managing all state, regional and national surveys for AMS.
