TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
Mr. Huntoon has been a consultant with AMS for over 27 years, during which time he has provided operational support and conducted a wide range of projects in more than 150 client hospitals. His expertise is in productivity monitoring, work measurement and work simplification. During his 27 years with AMS, he has developed an effective and participative approach to the introduction and implementation of productivity systems in departments that have no productivity system and operate with only a service perspective.

His assignments have included participation in multiple hospital-wide operational audits and the implementation of many productivity systems. He has also completed a broad range of operational assessments in professional services and general services departments.

Mr. Huntoon functions as AMS' in-house diagnostic imaging resource. As such, he remains current in both the technical aspects and industry trends in this area.  He has assisted over 150 healthcare organizations review all aspects of diagnostic imaging including radiologist, technologist and support staffing, operating systems, support systems (film filing, transcription, transport, etc.), and functional layouts.  This assistance has involved all imaging modalities.  In 2005, Mr. Huntoon part-time managed a diagnostic imaging department in a hospital in New York State.

Mr. Huntoon also has significant expertise in the areas of:

  • Radiation Therapy

  • Emergency Rooms

  • Endoscopy Units

  • Materials Management

  • Dialysis Units

  • Rehabilitation Services

  • General Support Services

Prior to AMS, Mr. Huntoon was unit coordinator of the neonatal and pediatric intensive care units at Massachusetts General Hospital where he was responsible for all daily clinical administrative operations.
