TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
Pat is a consultant executive with over 25 years of consulting experience
in health care supply chain management. Her areas of
responsibility include business development, project management and the
design of new supply chain services to meet emerging market trends in
the health care industry. In her three years with AMS, she has
helped many clients achieve major cost reductions through the
application of leading edge supply chain strategies across all hospital
departments. Ms. Corvino also has extensive experience in
productivity and operations consulting for hospital support service
departments (food and environmental services, on-site laundries,
materials management and plant operations and biomedical services) in
addition to Materials Management. She serves as the AMS contract
specialist for evaluation large outsourcing contracts in both the
support and ancillary service areas.
Pat's recent projects include:

Assisted community hospitals and academic
medical centers in identifying millions in cost reduction
opportunity on cardiac and orthopedic implants used in the Operating
Room, Cardiac Cath Laboratory and Interventional Radiology.
Projects included cost per case benchmarking by DRG and by physician
along with implementation support.

Assisted numerous hospitals and health systems
with re-design of their supply chain services to achieve leading
practices and reduce labor and supply costs. Projects included
contracting and purchasing services, materials flow and logistics in
hospital warehouses and storerooms, operating rooms and central
supply departments.

Facilitated corporate executives of a three
hospital system in the design of a corporate structure for materials
management and support services.

Conducted an analysis of outsourcing proposals
for food service operations for a two hospital system to support the
management decision on whether to continue with outside management
or move to a self-managed model.
