TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
In his 35 years as an AMS healthcare consultant, Mr. Webb has progressed from an associate position to that of partner. He is on the AMS Board of Directors, and has corporate responsibility for research and development, information technology, productivity services, benchmarking, supply chain services, organization-wide operational diagnostics, strategic planning, and new product development.

Mr. Webb has conducted or managed more than 200 studies and is responsible for implementing a wide range of new systems in the areas of patient care delivery, information technology, access management, and financial support. His areas of expertise include organizational issues, mergers and consolidation, and process improvement.

Recent projects include:

  • Facilitating the strategic planning process with executive management and boards of directors for hospitals and health systems.

  • Assisting CEOs in developing senior management organizational structures for hospitals, health systems and managed care organizations.

  • Managing hospital-wide operational diagnostic and benchmarking engagements in hospitals ranging in size from 100 beds to 1,500 beds.

  • Assisting management in both pre- and post-merger consolidation analysis in clinical, support, and financial services for both health systems and HMOs.

  • Redesigning the surgical suite and emergency department in a major teaching hospital.

  • Designing, developing, and implementing a patient care unit cost accounting system for a nine-hospital health system.

  • Assisting senior management to optimize labor resources throughout the organization.

  • Managing the installation of major changes to the information system of a multi-hospital system.

  • Testifying before state review boards, on behalf of clients, and fact finding for CON applications.

  • Designing operating systems for new facilities.
